Farwell 2006!

2007 is just around the corner. We are left wondering what happened to 2006 and it’s going out with a bang especially for those in Denver! Snow, snow and more snow is how so many will remember this year.

Here in Snowmass Village, we have snow, but this last storm seems to have missed us. Guests trying to get in/out of the area are relieved. It’s wonderful to go on a ski trip but blood pressure rises as each flight is cancelled or delayed. For those traveling through Denver, go to this site for updates. http://www.flydenver.com

There are many activities in Snowmass over the New Year’s so be sure to check the calendar so you don’t miss anything. I plan to attend several of the Academy Screenings this weekend. http://www.aspencalendars.com

What a Snowstorm!

Wow! What a snowstorm we’ve had in Colorado. Aspen Snowmass saw 16 inches for fresh powder from the storm. Denver, as you have heard had 25 plus inches. We stayed opened and the people here have had a wonderful time on the slopes. Ski resorts really never shut down. This is simply a rare storm for Denver.

Some of our guests are not able to get out and have made the best of it by getting back on the hill. Those coming here are having trouble getting in if they are coming through Denver. Those coming through LA, Phoenix, Eagle or Salt Lake have been able to fly in today. We really appreciate everyone’s positive attitude in a situation no one could control. This will be a trip no one will forget!

Are you ready for the holidays? I see many people out shopping in the Mall. For those in Aspen Snowmass, there is so much to do. To find out all the details, go to: http://www.aspencalendars.com

We're off and running!

The Snowmass Mountain Chalet is ending a very busy week. We had 3 ski clubs and several long-term guests at the hotel. The staff loves to see all the familiar faces back for another ski season. Many of our guests book for the following year before they leave. Groups are doing that as well!

The entire Village is gearing up for the holiday season. It’s such a festive time of year. Be sure to check out the calendar of events if you are coming to Snowmass in the near future. You are going to have a wonderful time!
