The leaves and brush are just starting to change colors. The temperatures have dropped, especially at night – brrrr! But the days are gorgeous and it’s the perfect temperature to get out and do some hiking. So dust off those hiking boots, come up to Snowmass, hike up the many trails in the morning and enjoy the wonderful music at the Jazz Concerts.

We are busy at the Mountain Chalet with Interior Designers, carpet samples, fabric samples and finalizing all the details on our guest room renovation this fall. Our guests coming in for the ski season will find new carpet throughout the hotel and each guest room with new bedspreads, drapes, countertops and bathroom floors. We’ll post photo’s on our website when a room is finished.

Today United Airlines announced new direct flights into Aspen for this coming winter from Chicago and San Francisco! The flight breakdown in to Aspen for winter of 2006/2007 is as follows:

Denver: 11 flights per day, 4 additional flights over the weekend.
Los Angeles: 1 flight per day with tree additional flights over the weekend.
Chicago: 2 flights per day
San Francisco: 1 flight per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
