The Aspen Snowmass Jazz Festival is a unique venue. It unites young developing artists with top musicians in the world jazz. Educational performances spotlight the various talents of our local youth with the JAS Academy, JAS high school and middle school big band, and a variety of artists in residence. You'll be impressed by the quality entertainment delivered by the academy. Begun in 1995 as an outlet for developing the talents of fine young musical performers, JAS is now a nationally acclaimed education program. It gives young musicians the unique opportunity to learn from and perform with jazz legends. These talented young musicians definitely deliver what you would expect from a hub that literally comes alive with the sound of music year-round.

Throughout the year, JAS After Dark, which started in the late 90s as a"fringe festival" music attraction to the main festival events, features informal concerts in Aspen-Snowmass year-round.
